Helping is blessing and therefore our help is expanding to another country, Angola! The quality of life of most of the Angolans is unfortunately very low, the average age is one of the lowest, meanwhile the infant mortality is one if the highest. Also because of that we decided to focus on Angola which certainly needs our help.

Angola is located at the south of Africa having 1600 km long coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Angola shares its northern border with Democratic Republic of Kongo and via Cabinda Providence also with Republic of Kongo, the eastern neighbour is Zambia and in the south, there is Namibia. The area of Angola ranks it the 22nd biggest country in the world. Fun fact: the official language of Angola is Portuguese which makes the second biggest country speaking Portuguese (after Brazil).

The big issue in Angola is its uneven development and a major population gap. Whereas the rural areas’ development is still far in the past, the economics of the towns and cities keeps growing. The massively developing capital city Luanda even became the most expensive city in the world in terms of living expenses when it surpassed Hong Kong in 2017. With this issue is obviously connected the average life expectancy as men live to be about 43 years old and women about 47 years old. Which is about 45 years less than in the Czech Republic.

Shoes4life would like to help to erase these gaps and differences and therefore we decided to make this project helping children in rural areas happen.
