Successful representatives and winners of the Champions league and European league Vladimir Smicer and Tomas Ujfalusi, exquisite striker horst Siegl, or the football expert of the Czech Television Josef Nemec. This is a very brief summary of the football personalities which promoted a project presented by the chairwoman of CAFH Marketa haindlova in New York on 3 November 2015 at the conference called Save the dreams.
The charity project shoes4life, by this day already a worldwide known, was founded by the attorney at law Marketa Haindlova 4 years ago with the aim to promote the sport also in the developing countries.
The principle of its working which lies in the donation of unwanted shoes through the collection places of the fashion brand shops Camp David or in their sending to the address of the Czech Association of football Players, has been very simple due to the time flexibility. The donator immediately receives a 20% discount for the purchase of new pair of shoes.
Already the first collection organized for the benefit of the crèche in Rwanda came across with an extraordinary positive response. Further events to help those who are in need soon followed; at first in Kenia, afterwards the help to the football school of Fernando Neves at the cape verdi Islands. Altogether, over five hundred pair of shoes were sent over and the next destination of the project is going to be the Philippines.
„In our country, the shoes are a consumer good, we have one pair to the gym, next for football, for running, for suit or for a normal daily wearing. But in the World, there are people, who do not possess with these possibilities and wearing of shoes is a luxury item for them. To donate unwanted football shoes or any other shoes is the least we can do for people from developing countries,“ said the footballer Vladimír Šmicer, who alongside with other football personalities made a series of photographies in order to promote the whole project.
As Marketa Haindlova, who was in New york supported also by the Stanley cup winner Patrik Eliáš, stated, the existing success gives another motivation to give a chance to those who did not have enough luck so far.
“I want to express my thanks to all donors, football personalities, and to all other, who provided us with a help of any kind. the fact that I can present Shoes4life in New York and our project is under the support of UN, UNICEF and the high commissionary for refugees is least but not last their benefit. I believe that they will keep supporting us also in the future.”Zpět
